Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce Launches “Webinar” Program Targeting Small Business Owners

Posted on September 5, 2007

The Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce recently announced SmallBIZ Online, its latest program offering assistance to business owners.  This program is a series of online educational seminars geared toward small businesses.  Topics include sales, marketing, leadership, human resources, legal and other issues facing small businesses.

The convenience of not having to leave your desk to attend these seminars is great for the multi-tasking small business owner.  Also, it is very difficult for small business owners to find low cost educational/training classes on the various aspects of starting, managing, and growing a business.  Accordingly, I recommend small business review the scheduled “webinars” from time to time.  A “webinar” may be offered in any given month that directly addresses your or your employees’ business educational/training needs.

Seminars will be broadcast live over the Internet, but downloads of past sessions will be available on the Chamber’s website if you miss a particular session.  The “webinars” scheduled for September are as follows:

  • September 11: Your Company’s Telephone Skills Matter-all the way to the bottom line!
  • September 11: Weathering the Storm
  • September 13: Mystery Shopping- What kind of customer experience is actually
    being delivered by your employees?
  • September 18: The Power of Internet Marketing- Easy to follow advice on the
hottest tool to grow your business
  • September 20: Marketing on a Small Budget
  • September 27: How to Hire Super Smart People
